Amanda has been one of Ashley’s best friends since the 7th grade, where they bonded over speaking English under their breath in French Immersion. In high school, they kept it cool by eating lunch on the floor, with Ashley always stealing a few of Amanda’s french fries. Ashley always knew that Amanda was a friend for life because of her kindness and loyalty to her friends.

Ashley met Drayten at Amanda’s wedding to Drayten’s brother, Tyler. The bride is very excited to be able to call her MOH her future sister-in-law after over 20 years of friendship!

Devin is Drayten’s coworker and best friend. In 2011, they began apprenticing together as gas fitters in Saskatchewan. They attended trade school in Alberta as roommates where they golfed their way through school for 3 years. Being too cool for school, they always sat at the back of the class. Devin slept through class but somehow always managed to get better grades than Drayten. Today, they like to refer to themselves as the top two “goon spoon runners.”

Drayten is God Father to Devin’s daughter, Pearl. 

Lexi is Drayten’s daughter who currently resides in Kansas as an athletic, 8th grade, A+ super student— beauty and brains! Drayten could not be more proud. She is looking forward to coming to Canada even though she was secretly hoping for a Bora Bora wedding :p Lexi will also be doing the honor of walking Drayten down the aisle.

Ashley and Drayten got this rascal of a pup during the pandemic. He is 3 years old and although he failed the photography audition for the wedding, he made the cut with the sympathy vote. Joey can’t wait to greet everyone with an 80-pound hug and sloppy kiss. Bring a lint roller.
